FAQ: Who is the designer of the Juandelacruisers Logo?
ANS: I designed our logo.
FAQ: What's the definition of the Hebrew symbols in the center of the logo?
ANS: We call it "Alibata" but originally it was "Baybayin," meaning syllables. There are actually two kinds of "Baybayin," the one that is originally used by our ancestors which exactly serve and fit the old "Tagalog" exclusively, and the one that was modified by the Spaniards to fit their language and the "modern Tagalog." Baybayins are symbols that represent syllables, not letters. If you look closely at our logo, there are four syllables. From top to bottom, then left to right: first symbol = "ka," second symbol = "pa," third symbol = "te," and fourth symbol = "da." I used the original baybayin because the modified version doesn't make sense aesthetically.
FAQ: Why the squibbly looks?
ANS: Alibata actually came from the Arabic scripture that was arranged by the ancient Maguindanaoans.
FAQ: Why the colors red, blue and yellow?
ANS: The red, blue and yellow are colors of the Philippine Flag. The yellow circle represents the sun and the motorcycle crankshaft which rotates in a cycle. The blue represents the shield or "kalasang" of Lapu-Lapu (modified to fit the design). The red represents the wings and tail of a "firebird" or "phoenix." We all know that a bird represents freedom.
FAQ: Why Phoenix?
ANS: The phoenix is a mythical bird that signifies mystery, freedom and power.
